If there is one thing about FIXTURES then it is that they are FIXED! In exceptional cases touchies@GREEN will try to accommodate teams who have difficulty to play in allocated time slots. You need to at least inform us by the Friday before your match. Even then, we can’t guarantee a change in your time slot. The problem with moving teams to new time slots are that we are depriving teams who made the effort to plan accordingly. touchies@GREEN appeal to teams to make an effort to stick with published fixtures. Thank you for your understanding.

LEAGUE

FIXTURES

GAME POINTS are earned as follow

  • WIN = 4
  • DRAW = 2
  • LOSS = 0

1 BONUS POINT PER GAME WHEN:

  •           A TEAM LOSES BY 3 OR LESS POINTS
  •           SCORES 10 TRIES OR MORE
  •           HAVE UNIFORM GEAR (each team member wears the same rugby jersey)

         IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Teams who don’t show up for a match (regardless if touchies@GREEN was informed or not) will forfeit league points for the particular week and the opposing team will earn 6 league points in turn. This means that a forfeiture at your own election will be final. It is for this reason that fixtures are fixed at the beginning of the season to allow teams to plan accordingly. Imagine the Boks calling the Kiwi’s and ask for the contest to be rescheduled because of a bachelor’s party, baby shower or makeover. touchies@GREEN see you all as Boks...be the Bok!

  • Games cancelled by touchies@GREEN for any reason, will be rescheduled for a later date.

  • If a team is not able to make an allocated timeslot on a specific evening, 2 weeks prior notice is required where after touchies@GREEN will endeavour to accommodate a request for a time shuffle – remember 3 other teams are affected in the process of allocating a new timeslot for your team. Rescheduling remains the prerogative of touchies@GREEN. We commit to be fair to all participating teams and realise that accommodating one team, will upset other teams. Please work with us on this challenge to limit disruptions, whilst we commit to be flexible and fair.

  • Only registered players are allowed to play for any particular team as reflected on the registration form. If a team suspects that the opposing team is making use of players not listed on registration form (“import players”), it is the responsibility of the objecting captain to bring this to the attention of the referee prior to commencement of play. The rules state that even 1 import player disqualifies a team from earning points for that particular game. In such instance it is for the objecting captain to decide whether he would allow for import players to participate or whether the game will be converted into a friendly, which will automatically earn die objecting team 6 points. (The emotive issue of import players are well known to all participating teams. In the interest of fairness and sportsmanship, we trust all teams to abide and respect this rule). Entering a team but failing to submit a registration form will result in no players officially being registered for such a team. Any complaints or issue by an opposition team with regards to whether or not certain players form part of a team will have the effect that such a game will be regarded as a friendly where the opposition will automatically earn 6 league points. The scoresheet will be updated with a 10-0 win for the team who made the complaint.

  • Teams should note that touchies@GREEN will endeavour to accommodate teams where 3 or more team members are also playing for another team – in such a case, the other team for which the 3 or more players are also playing should be in a different league. Players and teams must however realise that the format of the division structure is not necessarily conducive for accommodating all requests and preferences and that clashes will occur. It is hence the responsibility of teams and players to keep touchies@GREEN fully informed at the beginning of each season as to the composition of their teams, to afford touchies@GREEN an opportunity to see how best such conflicting preferences can be accommodated.

  • If you can't play a certain match, please inform touchies@GREEN at least a day before the game so that we can organise a match for your opponents. Teams are only allowed to miss 2 games a season. Your team will be disqualified if you miss your 3rd game.
